We are studying nutrition and fitness. Yesterday we did a Rock Our World tolerance project called Grains Day. We sampled rice and bread from around the world and used that as a springboard for talking about geography, tolerance, and cultural differences. The class came back to school in the evening so we could talk to Masa's class in Japan. We had a lively and fun conversation with the children there. Well, in my Spanish class we are trying to make a Spanish language version of the ROW song. We did a first draft and then we asked Gaby's class in Peru to have a videochat with us to perfect the timing. Well, they were great about figuring out a time, and I was all organized about looking at the chart to find the time difference and then looking at our odd schedule and seeing when I could scrounge together my students.
